Figure Sculpture Workshop

In this multi-level class students will learn to master the classical figure sculpture technique from a live model. We will cover the use of clay tools, clay body chemistry, basic armature construction, anatomy, and clay hollowing and firing technique.

Bronze Casting and Mold Making

This class is designed to familiarize students with the basics of lost wax casting process. Depending on the project students will learn wax casting and working technique, gating and venting, ceramic shell and investment molding techniques. Students will be required to complete at least 3 finished projects.
Repetition of this class will provide more advanced foundry education.

This class focuses on how to work sculptural concepts from the drawing board to the scale model stage of construction. Students will be expected to keep a sketchbook of ideas which will be critiqued and refined at each class session. Students will learn basic metal fabrication technique.
Repetition of this class extends to deal with fabrication of large scale metal sculpture from models or free-form. Students will learn advanced metal fabrication technique, gas forging, acetylene welding, and gas and arc welding techniques as well as brazing and chasing techniques.
